Equipping Leaders to Disciple the Nations

As the number of Christians in Africa, Asia, and South and Central America continues to rise, the Global South now accounts for the majority of the world’s 2 billion believers. This rapid growth has created an urgent need for biblical training to equip pastors and leaders in these regions.

The Apostle Paul tells us in his letter to the church in Ephesus that leaders of the church have been given to us by Christ so that we might all be brought into full measure of who God has made us to be (Eph 4:11-12). But that is a process that requires shepherds after God’s own heart who can lead the body and grow into unity.

As the church grows in West Africa, raising up pastors, teachers, and disciple-makers who are both biblically grounded and culturally relevant is essential for the church’s continued growth and effectiveness transforming the region.To date, there has been a focus of the Christian mission to establish Bible schools, seminaries, and universities led by local leaders and faculty. However, only 20% of pastors in the region have attended such institutions before beginning their ministry.

We are able to provide biblical education, practical pastoral equipping, and ongoing support as these leaders disciple a growing body of believers.

As the church in West Africa continues to grow, it is playing an increasingly important role in shaping the region’s spiritual, social, and political landscape. However, challenges remain. To sustain and strengthen this growth, ongoing training, resources, and partnerships are essential to ensure that the church remains grounded in biblical truth and committed to effective discipleship.
